The Driftaways formed in 2011 as a 3 piece Reggae band, but it wasn't long before it was decided that a horn section was required to truly achieve the sound we wanted. We were blessed and quickly found a talented horn section, and aux. percussionist to join our ranks, making us the 8 piece Reggae/Ska/Dub ensemble we are today. Over the years we have had the honor and privilege to play with acts such as Black Uhuru, Rebelution, Stick Figure, Katchafire, Tribal Seeds, Josh Heinrichs, Echo Movement, Passafire, HR (Bad Brains), Cas Haley, Skillinjah, Common Kings, E.N Young, 77 Jefferson, Spawnbreezie, The Meditations, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, and Roots of a Rebellion.
