The VIOD - Educational Institute for Child Protection - was established in 2004 with a view to organize educational activities in the area of prevention of child abuse and neglect. Among main activities we may point out a longterm nationalwide project encompassing training of teachers through an interdisciplinary multi-agency approach. The cornerstone of all VIOD activities shall be partnership and co-operation in interdisciplinary, multi-agency protection of children with both non-profit organisations and the state sector and also co-operation with institutions in other countries taking over the best practice methods and know-how in the educational system (NSPCC, Great Britain).
