The Eight Bells has been at the heart of the historic village of Jevington for centuries. Nobody quite knows why or when it got its name, but its colourful past is well known — from tunnels built by ruthless smugglers to an era of genteel tea gardens.Our latest chapter began in May 2020, with a new team, led by hospitality entrepreneur Phil Cameron and head chef Joshua Levy.Over the next two years, we plan to restore the historic building, landscape its exteriors and make this the best pub in East Sussex. We would love to hear from anyone who wants to help us achieve that simple goal.
