The Enchanted Ball is the largest event on the Melbourne financial services community calendar and raises funds for the Financial Markets Foundation for Children (FMFC). Since it's inception in 2000, the ball has provided the majority of the Foundation's funding. What started as a simple lunch between four friends has now grown into one of Australia's largest fundraising nights and each year we are fortunate enough to be supported by individuals and companies from across Australia who help us raise in excess of $1 million each year. Each year the ball is organised by a committee of volunteers from across Australia's leading financial institutions. The evening features live entertainment for guests and a fabulous three-course meal with fine beverages. The Financial Markets Foundation for Children was established in 1990 by the Reserve Bank and Australia's leading banks with the sole aim of helping sick children by raising funds for research into child health issues. Since its inception, the Foundation has been enthusiastically supported by Australia's corporate community, successfully raising more than $19m. These funds have been distributed to more than 244 research projects focused on improving the health and welfare of Australia's children. In 2018 we are pleased to announce the ball will be on Friday 14th September at The Palladium at Crown (Southbank, Melbourne).
