- To put a face on prostate Cancer in the District of Columbia and the DC metropolitan area. - To provide free screening and educational services to African American male residents, the under served, and the working poor. - To elevate the health concerns of African American Men living in the Washington DC area to the attention of the Professional Health Community and providers.The Faces Project , is committed to Prevention. Getting men screened early and frequently is the core strategy; through outreach, education, and advocacy.With your support, we can make a difference. Given the existing health disparities, The Faces Project has a unique sensitivity to African American men, inner-city urban populations, and the underserved. As a Survivor-Organization, The Faces Project is committed to assisting survivors, building a support network, and helping to restore self-confidence, and purpose in the lives of those men who share this experience.
