More than just a library - offering multiple services across the Isle of Man.Family Library: A gem in the heart of Douglas offering a base for young people to explore thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and games as well as numerous events and activities that are held almost everyday of the week!Mobile service: A library on wheels - if you can't come to us, we come to you! Our big mobile bus holds over 2000 books and travels all around the island bringing smiles to faces young and old. Home Delivery: For where our big bus cannot reach we have the home delivery service, reaching all the nooks and crannies of the island and delivering a selection of handpicked books right to your doorstep.Bibliotherapy: An extension of the home delivery service providing a social activity to prevent isolation and loneliness - rejogging elderly memories through books, photographs and artefacts.Schools service: A bespoke service tailored to the island's schools to deliver handpicked books to support educational learning. Class visits are also held in the Family Library for schools to enjoy further resources that are available.
