Our mission at the Feast School is to create an atmosphere that fosters lifelong learning for families. We do this by providing a broad feast for an educational model that includes a wide variety of academic disciplines using Charlotte Mason's educational philosophy as our guidepost. We specialize in Charlotte Mason through the lens of exceptionality; this includes the gifted, and individuals that have both visible and invisible disabilities. Feast is not just a Charlotte Mason term. Here at the Feast School is stands for Fellowship (Heb 10:25), Encourage (1 Thes 5:11), Affirm (John 17:17), Serve (Deut 10:12), and Train (Prov 22:6). We take this to heart in helping families. We want to create an environment where both parents and children can build life-long friendships. We want to encourage parents in their callings. We want to affirm parents in their spiritual gifting. We want to serve others in our community. We want to train both mothers and children in the way they should go. Our long term vision includes training opportunities for all educators, a private school, a local partnership with a homeschool cooperative providing enriching opportunities for Charlotte Mason families which could include nature groups, art classes, Shakespeare, and parent learning enrichment opportunities like discussion groups. Although the Feast School specializes in exceptionality, our long term vision includes opportunities for all. The Feast School focuses on the child's character, social and emotional wellbeing by treating them like persons. We strive to train children to not only have intrinsically motivated habits but also to have self-control. Here we put God in the place He deserves - at the head of the table. We hope to welcome you around the table and help you enjoy a magnificent Feast.
