The Firefly Patch began as a hobby and has grown into a passion. Stuffed animals can be a calming comfort, showcase a memory or be a cuddly companion.Most of my animals are weighted and can be customized to meet your needs. Weighted animals help children & some adults with sensory disorders feel grounded in their space. It helps them to calm, relax and focus while increasing body awareness. Research show that the work of carrying a weighted animal can help regulate your child's nervous system. They are less obvious than a weighted blanket or vest but still calming, so they are a great choice for trips to the store, school, or any place your child doesn't want to feel different. The weight plus the touch stimulation work together to create a unique sensory experience.I'm happy to create special orders! Do you have a special pieces(s) of clothing? We can work together to come up with the perfect memory animal using that clothing. Do you have a pet that has passed away? I am happy to use their favorite blanket, bedding or soft toys to create a special stuffed animal in their memory.
