The Flooring Marketplace is a program that allows floor covering dealers to offer and sell millions of square feet of hardwood, cork, and bamboo flooring (and soon LVT) online – through their own websites. It's comprised of two services; first, a very product-centric database for dealers to use as a resource to research and purchase products they don't have in their own showrooms. Dealers who sign up for this free service can log in to see all products with the dealer's costs, and product quantities are always available in real time. Second, retailers can take this information-rich tool and put it on their websites for their customers to access and buy from them directly. The dealer also determines the selling margin, how delivery will be handled, who within the company will receive notification of sample requests and orders, and so on. While there is a one-time setup process, the dealer has full access to change information as needed. All inventory is in 1 of our 5 warehouses and is live linked to our inventory system in real time, allowing The Flooring Marketplace to ship out dealer orders the same or next business day. The products we offer run the gamut of price points and quantities – from the highest-quality running-line products to value-priced odd lots. By not having a brand identifier other than their company, retailers can reach the online customer who is looking for a certain style or researching quality rather than asking "what's your price on this brand." And by listing selling prices and inventories with products, these consumers can now engage dealers for their knowledge, installation services, and full pre-/post-sale support.
