The Floured Apron is a non-profit social enterprise bakery and job training program based in Winnetka, Illinois. We create all-natural, small-batch specialty baked goods hand-crafted by women building brighter futures through participation in our job training, mentoring and job placement program.Our model is a ten-week training program where our students will be introduced to proper food safety and sanitation processes, customer service best practices, recipe measurements and development, and cake decorating techniques. Graduates of the program will receive their safe food handler's certification, job placement assistance, and continued mentor support for nine additional months.
