From the Founders Desk:Get to know me: I'm a CA-turned stay-at-home Mom-turned Chess coach-Entrepreneur. Chess has been a fundamental part of my family. It all began back in the year 2000, when my son (age 4 at the time) expressed an interest in the game. As a mother, I wanted to do all that I could to support him. That's what first got me into Chess coaching. The more we learnt and practised, the more we fell in love with the game. I got my hands on every book, every training resource, every guide i could find on Chess, and my research into this new world began!My son went to his first tournament at the age of 6. "I want to see how professional chess feels", he tells me. We had a few initial setbacks, no doubt. But my little boy had heart. He didn't give up. Neither did I. Together, we worked hard. The results began to reflect our constant efforts.Soon, to everyone's surprise, my little boy was winning at tournaments with age categories even double his age. More students began to sign up for my coaching.By the age of 8, he was ranked the number.1 in Mumbai, securing 1st place at one of the city's largest tournaments - Bournvita.This was also where a lot of my other students won in other categories, and I was bestowed a 'Best Coach' award. My son and several of our students went on to hold rankings at State & National levels.From our humble beginnings ²¹ years ago, we are glad to have been able to share our love for this beautiful game with over 900 students thus far (and still going strong!)We knew even a decade ago, that Chess would remain a big part of my life, for the years to come. And it has.As they say, the rest is history...
