The Food Bank @ St. Mary's offers food assistance to families in Seattle through both a Walk-In Program and Home Delivery Program. Our Walk-In Program operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10am-1pm. Within our Walk-In Program we also operate three other programs: A No Cook Program which offers bags of easy to prepare products that are appropriate for the homeless population; a Baby Corner, which operates during the first full week of each month and provides diapers, formula and baby food to families with babies and Toddler Bags, which are distributed daily, that offer food bags for families with children aged 2-5; and a Hygiene Program that runs during the last full week of each month and offers items like soap, toilet paper and other toiletries. The Food Bank @ St. Mary's operates with a staff, but truly thrives with the help of hundreds of volunteers.\\Our Home Delivery Program serves homebound Seattle residents who are unable to use our Walk-In Program due to disability, illness, or age. We currently operate 20 routes, between 200-220 bags weekly. This program is supported entirely by volunteers who use their own vehicles to regularly deliver the same route each week, as well as several substitute drivers who fill in as needed. Since our customers are homebound, this Home Delivery Program not only provides nutrition, but also social interaction for those who may not otherwise have a chance to interact with others regularly.
