The Friends of the Law Library of Congress is a vibrant group of supporters of the U.S. Law Library of Congress who seek to stimulate interest and expand awareness of the world's largest, most comprehensive collection of legal information. Established in 1932 by U.S. Attorney General George W. Wickersham, the Friends is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization entrusted to encourage support for the Law Library, contribute to its collections, and bring advocacy and financial support to strategic programs that promote a better understanding of the Law Library and the rule of law.
