Custom Prescription Orthotics.What are Prescription Orthotics?Prescription orthotics are medical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. Orthotics work on the feet in the same way braces work on the teeth – by exerting gentle consistent pressure to bring muscles, ligaments and bones back into proper alignment. The overwhelming majority of lower limb problems, and a fair number of lower back, knee, and hip complaints, are caused by abnormal biomechanics of the foot.
