The Garden Company was founded in 1991 by James Scott MSGD MBALI. Specialising in high quality commercial and domestic garden landscaping, design and maintenance, the company offers an integrated, ‘one stop shop' for clients' needs. Based in Chipperfield near Kings Langley, its chief operational areas are North London and South East England although it can deliver design services nationally. It has a full-time staff of 20 people. The Garden Company regularly constructs beautiful places designed by other top designers as well as its own design team. The Garden Company is often involved in complex projects, working collaboratively with other professional teams e.g. architects, planners, structural engineers. Its network of highly skilled associates – including joinery, tree surgery, lighting, swimming pool, and irrigation specialists – enables it to provide clients with a multidisciplinary team as needed. James is a fully Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) & the company is an SGD Registered Practice and Contractor Member of BALI. The Garden Company has won over 20 national awards for both its design and build expertise, including Principal BALI Awards and the SGD Design Award for Small Residential Gardens in 2019. The Garden Company has also been shortlisted for SGD Awards in 2017 & 2018. It also won a Pro Landscaper Business Award in 2020.
