The Global Class is a platform for integrative learning between various institutions scattered across the globe. More importantly, it is a global community where students from around the world can engage. The mission of the Global Class is to facilitate and encourage experiential learning via online live lectures. These lectures provide students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to adjust their overall learning curve with shared ideas centered on a specific topic of discussion. The purpose is to produce globally literate individuals with successful knowledge-transfer methods.General Information:A Global Class is an interactive and simultaneous online lecture with various institutions around the world. The current structure of the Global Classes involves one host institution, generally Durham College, and three other institutions from various locations around the world. A host is selected, and a theme is chosen. The classes provide students with the opportunity to analyze, discuss, and debate current affairs occurring across the globe. They offer students from each institution the chance to gain insightful perspectives from individuals with different backgrounds from all corners of the globe. The host is generally an individual who is a prominent figure relevant to the theme that actively engages, criticizes, and enlightens students participating in the Global Class. A suitable host is defined as someone who possesses knowledge of the subject matter and is a key stakeholder within the particular domain of content.Eligibility: Any individual can join!
