The Global Language Network (GLN) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, founded by Andrew Brown in 2005, whose mission is to use language as a tool to help fix our world. All of us surely want to fix the world but many of us lack the necessary tools. The Global LanguageNetwork® (GLN) is a DC-based 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that provides those tools. GLN developslearning communities that break down cultural barriers and bridge the gap between a diversity of people.We offer affordable language classes in more than 60 languages by engaging and training volunteernative speakers who teach their language and share their culture with the community.Vision: To connect and empower people through language and cultureLanguage is the tool with the most potential, value, and promise sincecommunication is the key to success in everyrelationship and any endeavor. At GLN, weempower changemakers and future-changemakerswith invaluable language tools that break downcommunication barriers so they can go out andbetter-serve and fix our world.Our Model: Providing opportunities to learn any language at a minimal costGLN offers language classes in more than 60 languages. We strive to build students' confidence and competence to communicate with others in meaningful and practical ways, while developing teachers as educators and leaders.In order to realize our vision, we aim to establish a diverse network of lifelong language learners within the United States and abroad.
