All around the world, entrepreneurs find solutions to important problems: bring water where it is most needed, reuse and recycle old materials, provide energy to those who lack it. They are purpose-driven men and women searching for a market-based approach to some of the most important problems in their communities and in the world. A force for change we want to help grow. The Ground_Up Centre is a not-for-profit research organization that aims to uncover the business, investment and leadership models behind responsible entrepreneurship. At the same time, we want to help those who create entrepreneurial ecosystems better understand how these enterprises work and what they need to succeed. The Centre is a main partner in the GREEN-WIN consortium, alongside Global Climate Forum, Oxford University, IIASS and others in South Africa, Spain, Turkey and other parts of the world. Funded through EU's H2020 program, GREEN-WIN is looking at models of green SMEs in order to assess their potential for economic growth and climate change abatement. The Ground_Up Centre works in close collaboration with The Ground_Up Project company. http://www.groundupproject.org
