Launching two distinct medical initiatives The Hans Foundation Eye Care and The Hans Foundation General Hospital THE HANS FOUNDATION HOSPITALS is moving forward its mission HEALTH FOR ALL. THE HANS FOUNDATION EYE CARE HARIDWARA staggering 285 million people worldwide 63 million in India alone are visually impaired. But with access to eye care 80% can be helped. To reach the visually impaired in and around Uttarakhand we are establishing THF EYE CARE. Located in the city of Haridwar the HUB hospital provides affordable eye care to all including the urban. Located in outlying areas the SPOKES including satellite hospitals vision centers and outreach camps extend quality eye care to all including the rural. THE HANS FOUNDATION GENERAL HOSPITAL SATPULIAn estimated 75% of India's population is rural and mostly poor. Yet only 25% of India's physicians practice rurally. This leaves almost 900 million rural Indians in need of even the most basic medical care. To help bridge this gap we launched a massive project: THF GENERAL HOSPITAL SATPULI a 10-acre multi-specialty hospital campus nestled in the rural Pauri District of the Himalayas. With patients routinely walking 40 km including several km to reach a road the response overwhlelmingly confirmed rural need. Services and medicine at THF GENERAL HOSPITAL have been ongoing since April 2013. Within 2016 patient visits have doubled. Through THF EYE CARE and THF GENERAL HOSPITAL THE HANS FOUNDATION HOSPITALS medical care to poverty patients free of cost and those who cannot afford to pay are treated at much lower than other hospitals. Having provided health care to over 160000 THFH is beginning to see as a game changer in the noble cause HEALTH FOR ALL.
