Inspired by The Mays Anthology, a prestigious anthology of short stories, poetry, art and creative photography produced by Oxbridge students, we would like to start our very own anthology here. At the very core of our project, we want to invigorate the arts scene with a renewed creative spirit, providing an avenue for creative individuals in Singaporean universities to freely express themselves without any financial or institutional inhibitions, and to create a new institution which can stand the test of time. Our anthology will include prose, poetry, non-academic essays, photography, illustrations and visual art. It will be an annual publication, and like what The Mays does for Britain, we envision The Harbour as becoming its equivalent for Singapore—a premiere student-run anthology on a national scale.
