Who are we?The Heart of Ida is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves the older adult population in and around Long Beach, CA.MissionOur mission is to help older adults preserve independence as long as possible, and provide comfort and cheer when assisted living is necessary. Who is Ida?Ida was a community activist that spent the majority of her time on earth helping those in need. Ida took her two granddaughters, Dina and Keri, with her every year to deliver gifts to nursing homes. Those visits changed their lives. In honor of their grandmother, they started a nonprofit organization.
