Hiawatha, nestled among the lush forests of Shelton, Washington, opened its doors in 1938 as a local evergreen company. Originally the company sold only fresh brush such as salal and huckleberry. Decorative Christmas greens and designer products became another popular Hiawatha trademark when operations were diversified in the mid-seventies. Dried products including moss and pine cones followed. Hiawatha has since grown from its original Shelton location to other business locations in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. Today, Hiawatha is a competitive international distributor who proudly implements practices of sustainability and is one of the largest suppliers of evergreen products in the world.
