The group also purchases, collects and processes honey, pollen, propolis, royal Jelly, wax, and sting venom from its beekeepers to whom it supplies equipment. The Hive Group has innovated unique concepts to provide complete commercial starter units of all required quality tools and services for sustainable apiculture and pollination services.. All clients must undergo training and accept field visits by qualified and experienced apiarists to make sure that the technologies are utilized effectively and efficiently. The entire Group is making concerted efforts with various Governments , Non-Governmental Organizations, R&D arms of private sector players, development institutions and other stakeholders on sensitizing farmers about the overall importance of environmental conservation through reforestation, afforestation and agroforestry to improve vegetation cover, protect biodiversity as well as instill Good Agricultural Practices The Hive Group also offers bee keeping management services as a product. In this service, its various Companies provides all the required bee keeping infrastructure (in the inception of the project) such as; Professional Apiary construction (resistant to the destructive pests e.g. Honey badgers, red ants, desert ants etc) Quality treated Bee hives (20 years + guarantee), Honey extractors, smokers, hive tools, bee brush, protective gears, refractometers, bottling, signage etc. The Group has launched the CAB Hive, a version of the langstroth that is specifically designed for the African Bee. It has so far attracted a lot of interest in all of Africa and African beekeepers have begun to get commendable yields such as 6 – 9 times honey harvest yielding in excess of 600 Kgs of honey annually.
