Founded in 1965, The Horseshoe Lounge is South Austin's oldest Beer Joint. We feature shuffleboard, pool, dominoes & a jukebox full of memories. Known affectionately as "The Shoe", we still has the coldest AC and beer in town. The Shoe is a place people like Slaid Cleaves write songs about and where cult TV shows like Friday Night Lights were filmed. It's where notables from Anthony Bourdain to Charlie Sexton come to hang out and go relatively unnoticed. On any given day, 365 days a year, you might meet a hippie, a bubba, a hipster, a biker, and a musician. You'll probably meet a few of each and they'll all be happy share a beer and a story.
