The Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project maps and analyses the challenges and opportunities presented by the use of big data and associated technologies from a human rights perspective.Funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and housed at the Human Rights Centre of the University of Essex, the Project considers whether fundamental human rights concepts and approaches need to be updated and/or adapted to meet the rapidly evolving technological landscape. The work brings together practitioners in the fields of human rights, technology and Internet governance, the United Nations, industry, and academics, to assess existing regulatory responses and the need for reforms in order to maximise effective human rights enjoyment and protection.Follow us on Twitter: @HRBDTNews
