Her love affair with India first began 30 years ago when she first travelled to India in 1981 for 10 weeks…but it wasn't until a year later that she returned home to complete her studies. It wasn't long, though, before she'd organised a sailing trip to the Maldive Islands, just off India's southwest tip, for a group of similarly adventurous Perth yachtsmen. Since then, Anna has travelled to India on dozens of occasions, initially on long journeys just to discover the roads less travelled, but more recently to pursue her interests in Indian textiles, art, architecture and trekking, returning to Kashmir in 2010 to fulfill a longheld ambition to experience authentic Tibetan Buddhist culture by trekking in Ladakh, India's remote trans-Himalayan region.
