The Inkwell Theater Details
Inkwell is a not-for-profit theater company dedicated to developing and producing new works. In 2004, we presented, "Only The Dead Know Burbank," by Peter Lefcourt; that was followed by "The Architect Of Destiny", discovered through a national, open-submission, search. Our third play, "Sunset Park," written by Marley Sims and Elliot Shoenman, ran for fourteen weeks and was published by Samuel French. Next was "Tango ‘Til Their Sore," written and directed by 25-year-old Matthew Hancock. Then Michael Halperin's "All Steps Necessary," based on a meeting called by Hermann Goring three days after the Kristallnacht pogrom. From 2007 - 2011: "Moment In The Sun", "Old Glories", "The Ohio 4th" and the Ovation Award-nominated "AfterMath," starring Annie Potts. In 2012, we brought J. Michael Feldman's critically- acclaimed "Fairy Tale Theatre: 18 & Over" to the Matrix. Last season, we presented "Heap Of Livin' " with Lawrence Pressman and Didi Conn, at the Odyssey Theatre.We're extremely proud of the work we're doing at Inkwell and of the people involved in our productions.Over the years we've become a family, committed and passionate.
