The Intensivist Company (TIC) is a physician-owned, physician-run ICU services company. Founded by Thomas Rainey, MD and John W. Hoyt, MD in 2003, TIC has helped hospitals and private physician groups around the nation develop critical care programs in urban and rural settings. A growing body of knowledge supports the benefits of an Intensivist in the ICU setting.
