The International Film Music Society is a non-profit organization aimed at bringing together, in a single place, as many professionals of the film music world as possible. This Society seeks and endeavours to: -• Increase society awareness of the artistic, historical and commercial value of film, television and video game music. • Promote and discover composers (new and old) from all parts of the world – many of which may never have had the chance to perform and demonstrate their music outside a recording studio.• Educate young people to understand the importance of this genre of music by organizing master classes, conferences, concerts and workshops with the great masters of the craft. • Become a reference point for the latest technical advances in recording equipment and composing aids. A place where professionals can consult each other and collaborate.• To generate educational exchanges between the East and West involving schools, Universities and Academies with students traveling to different parts of the world learning about different cultures and the influence that that has in the music of the different composers.• Bring to the fore the art of film music with an annual international film music festival of concerts performed by the most highly professional orchestras, the presence of famous film music composers from different parts of the world with special artists and the original performers from the recordings where possible. All presented by the worlds number one recording company producer for film music.• Encourage and cultivate new talent, new musical contributions to films, television and video games, new journalistic and investigational contributions to present and promote the past, present and future of composers, arrangers and musicians.
