Professional Training & Coaching - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
The mission of the Intersectionality Training Institute (ITI) is to advance health equity and social justice by providing high-quality training in the application of intersectionality to health research — qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods — policy, and practice, with fidelity to intersectionality's core tenets. Although U.S.-based research trainees, researchers, students, policymakers, activists, and organizations are our primary focus, we welcome all with an interest in intersectionality training. The ITI responds to a critical gap in opportunities for formal training in how to apply intersectionality to health research, policy and practice. Our goal is to build a cross-disciplinary community of well-trained intersectionality researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to design and conduct innovative, rigorous, and impactful research, interventions, and programs to reduce health and social inequities for diverse intersectional people and communities in the U.S. and beyond.
