Nonprofit Organization Management - Louisville, Kentucky, United States
The Invisible Wound Project is a student-governed Louisville-based nonprofit organization that addresses toxic stress from the student perspective. They aim to connect the toxic stress landscape with that of the student population, providing a niche benefit to the effort through the channels of mentorship, advocacy, and education. Our Organizational Effort comprises of:1) Raising awareness of toxic stress and of helpful resources through community outreach and general advocacy2) Reducing stigma surrounding toxic stress and the associated symptoms.3) Sparking companionship between Mentors and Mentees through our Mentorship Program.4) Sharing citizens' stories and applicable data with the general public by publishing story catalogs, social cost reports and other relevant literature. Our Organizing Philosophy is the use of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit model to provide net benefit for the society at-large that cannot be monetized in a for-profit system. We seek to prioritize transparency, public trust, and general welfare.Visit our website at:https://www.theiwp.orgFind us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/TheInvisibleWoundProject/
