The Irish Cultural Centre has been established since 1995 and is acclaimed for providing one of the most exciting and adventurous weekly programmes in the UK, featuring Ireland's best traditional and contemporary musicians, an Irish film programme, Irish literary events, Theatre and art exhibitions and more. We will be opening up our new centre in early January 2017.We are committed to sharing our culture and we actively work with our neighbours in London's diverse community, to achieve deeper appreciation of the value of intercultural exchange and understanding which we believe plays a significant part in building a stronger society.Throughout the academic year, we offer an extensive education programme delivered by a committed team of high calibre tutors and available to people of all ages, generations, backgrounds, and cultures who want to share, enjoy and participate in quality Irish arts and cultural activities. We are proud of our 'Open Door' policy and we set out to make Irish arts, culture and education accessible to everyone.The subjects offered include Irish Multi Instruments, History, Art History Literature, Storytelling, Celtic Shamanism, Irish Language, Film, Songs and Singing, Cultural Studies and a wide variety of Irish Music and Dance classes. The Centre is affiliated to Thames Valley University and London College of Music and it is the only centre in the UK to offer official examination grades in the learning of Irish Traditional Music.
