The Jellyfish Project is a Canadian charity celebrating 10 years of combining the power of music with engaging presentations, inspiring youth to take effective action to protect our environment and address the climate crisis. We have reached over 110,000 middle and high school students across Canada!Music has been a part of social change throughout history, telling stories of challenge and hope, inspiring action, bolstering courage, and fostering a sense of unity and empowerment. Our innovative program, delivered by young, professional, eco-conscious musicians, interweaves musical performance, with a high-quality, motivational presentation including captivating images, animations and videos. Recognizing that youth are experiencing widespread climate anxiety, apathy, and despair, the Jellyfish Project's focus is to provide accurate information about the state of our planet, alongside an exploration of the viable paths to an environmentally just and sustainable world. Our presentation offers implementable solutions to our environmental crisis, encouraging young people to take effective action to build a better future. We aim to inspire youth to build their capacity to act as environmental stewards by providing resources, tools, simple steps to have an impact, and stories of success, encouraging them to work towards effective action towards restoration and a green economy.Students can access the Jellyfish Project presentation in two ways: as a live performance in their school, or via live-streaming directly to their classroom or home. Live-streaming allows us the capacity to present anywhere in Canada, or the world. The Jellyfish Project carries out its work on the lands of Indigenous Nations throughout Canada. Our office is located on the shores of the Salish Sea on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) peoples.
