My own style is personal to me. The individual images, are taken by digital camera, of a selection of my work, with a mixed range of scenes. Representative of nature. Some are of the power of the modern image to blend in with a timeless image from the past. Hear I juxtapose a fighter aircraft with a an old middle kingdom pyramid. Both exist uneasily with each other. The harmony of the sea, with a Maori warrior in a canoe. Showing how the two divergent forms can work together out of respect for each other. Other examples of my prints, portray the overwhelming power of nature, the lush growth of trees, and plants, radiating colour, and emitting peace and solitude, away from the pressures of the cities, with all their constant demands on our time and energy. A painting I think you will like, shows a riot of soft colours representing what in my view Heaven looks like. I make a point of showing here, a field of grass, and flowers blended together. My idea behind creating this picture, was to show the power of form in its divine context. So that you the viewer could feel that sublime sense of joy and peace, when you feel drawn into its depths. One picture I experimented with was that of the Sacred Dancer. Trying to capture the power of movement in form, using the minimum of brush strokes on paper, was hard to do. It took some practice. Exquisite in its simplicity. Finally a most iconic relevant image. The image of a nuclear missile, hidden amongst nature. It could n't be more contrasting. Showing how quickly we could destroy, the natural world, without thinking in a fit of anger, of the consequences of our actions. These are just some of the prints that await you if you decide to check out my web site.
