The Karisma Effect, LLC is an event management & promotional company that was founded in 2006 in the efforts of organizing and increasing the quality of the nightlife on the campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Being college students full of vigor, tenacity, and creativity the founders understood what their peers not only wanted in the events that were geared towards the student market, but more importantly what made events actually worth their time and money. The goal from the beginning was to create an effect and feeling that separated their events from other promoters and groups; a charisma that invoked a feeling that the attendee was actually paying for more than just a show or party, but rather a memorable experience. The group aimed their focus on the four different areas that they felt were crucial elements in creating quality events: fashion, music, marketing/promotions, and charity.
