The Kays Foundation is a UK-based foundation working in Kenya. We see a world in which every family, every community, and every society is changed for the better by positive early childhood experiences. Our mission is to make Early Childhood a priority for everyone. We collaboratively design and fund initiatives that change the systems preventing children from thriving, that consistently improve the experiences of young children, that seek to understand, share, and provide for the needs of caregivers, and that ensure the consideration of early childhood experiences into every project, in every field, in every region. We are led by learning, constantly looking to find and fill the gaps to advance our field. We embrace the complexity of Early Childhood experiences and provoke debate to fuel new ideas, norms and behaviours. Working in partnership with others, we intend to spark a movement to ensure all children, across Kenya and around the world, can build their lives on a foundation that allows them and their communities to thrive.
