There are 1.8 billion youth in the world today, the largest in human history. Unfortunately 50% of them are unemployed or underemployed. There is an urgent need to channel vulnerable youth and prevent their lives from being wasted. Youth are our future, full of potential, and we cannot afford to lose this asset. The Learn and Uplift Foundation (LAUF) has a mission to provide employable and life skills to disadvantaged youth for a sustainable livelihood and a productive life. LAUF's support is critical for them; it is critical for everyone on this planet. LAUF provides self-paced eLearning courses are customized for local skills and jobs in countries around the world. In India, LAUF has made an impact through a range of customized employable skills. In Canada, the focus is on life skills with the current project on helping ‘at-risk' youth build healthy relationships.LAUF has also recently partnered with Facebook's Freebasics to provide mobile content to people who cannot afford Internet. LAUF will be launching this service in Ghana and Tanzania.If you are concerned about "at –risk" youth and would like to make an impact, connect with LAUF for ways to get involved.
