Since 2011 Boston University has been using the Learning Assistant (LA) program to transform courses and curricula and encourage faculty and administrators to value evidence-based teaching. Starting with just 11 LAs in the Chemistry department, the program has since grown to to include 7 departments and almost 50 courses with over 120 LAs hired each semester.
