Dr Hemant Vadeyar has been a Consultant Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepato Pancreato Biliary (HPB) Surgeon with nearly 25 years experience in the field and practicing exclusively HPB Surgery for over 15 years. He was a Consultant HPB Surgeon at the North Manchester General Hospital for a period of 7 years between 2001 - 2007, before returning to India. Dr Vadeyar has extensive experience in managing complex HPB Cancers and other benign conditions. Dr Vadeyar was one of the earliest in the UK to perform Laparoscopic Liver Resections, and established the Laparoscopic HPB Surgery Unit at the North Manchester General Hospital. He has personally performed over 500 liver resections and over 300 pancreatic resections during the past 15 years, with outcomes comparable to the best centres in the world. Dr Hemant Vadeyar has been practicing Laparoscopic HPB Surgery since 1996, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies and laparoscopic liver resections. He has performed over 2000 laparoscopic cholecystectomies and over 50 laparoscopic liver resections. Dr Vadeyar is currently a Consultant GI/HPB and Liver Transplant Surgeon practicing in Andheri, Mumbai. He is attached to Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Vile Parle, S.L. Raheja Fortis Hospital, Mahim and Kohinoor Hospital, Kurla.Dr Vadeyar is also a Visiting Consultant HPB Surgeon at the North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester, UK and the University Hospital Aintree, Liverpool, UK.
