The Lords of 52nd Street is New York's favorite band led by, Liberty DeVitto on drums, Richie Cannata on saxophone, and Russell Javors on rhythm guitar. The band recorded, toured and performed extensively with Billy Joel during his prominence in the 1970s and 1980s. The Lords aided in the creation of many hit records with Joel including, Turnstiles, The Stranger, 52nd Street, Glass Houses, and The Nylon Curtain. In the past as Billy Joel's touring band, The Lords of 52nd Street sold out countless shows, and performed in some of the world's most famous arenas including, Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum, Wembley Stadium, Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Budokan, and many other popular venues around the globe. The core band members, DeVitto, Cannata and Javors were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014, and it inspired them to join together as a band again, and begin touring.Attendees can expect a multifaceted live concert experience, with one of the tightest rhythm and horn sections musically available today. The musicians on stage are responsible for many memorable hits including, New York State of Mind, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, Movin' Out, Angry Young Man, Big Shot, You May Be Right, Only The Good Die Young, and countless others. The band in the past received multiple gold and platinum record albums, and many Grammy award nominations and wins with Billy Joel. The Stranger album was such a commercial success, it holds a RIAA diamond certificate (10x platinum). The Lords of 52nd Street is Long Island's original band having influenced generations across the globe throughout the years.
