The Madison Senior Outreach Program visits the Terrace Club at Brighton Gardens Senior Living. The club's members suffer from mild dementia or the early stages of memory loss. The Terrace Club works with these seniors to try to slow down their dementia through special activities and daily mental exercises. Terrace Club program was inspired by current research findings related to brain health. The club also gives the senior citizens a sense of purpose every day.By partnering with the Terrace Club in Florham Park, NJ, we give students the opportunity to positively impact the lives of these senior citizens by continuing to help improve their memory and cognitive abilities. This is done by bringing Madison High School students to perform or do an activity that brings joy and happiness to the local senior citizens of the Terrace Club monthly on weekends.
