We (The Makers Collective) are a professional architectural firm based in the city of Chennai, one of the largest cultural, economic and educational centers of South India. The firm is led by a group of four young partners with architectural exposure and education from various parts of the world. Our firm aims towards designing and building architecture that is timeless, meaningful and holistic. Our work is driven by a commitment to the craft of building and the dedication towards creating built environments that enriches and fosters human connection. As the name suggests, the nature of our studio is a collaborative one and all of our clients work with atleast two or more of our partners. Our work predominantly involves residential, commercial, civic and cultural institutions across various scales, program and type. We provide a holistic design process that includes services such as planning, producing drawings, visualization, and the occasional foray into construction administration.
