The Makers™ is a regularly-scheduled forum offering peer perspectives to small-to-medium sized regional manufacturing leaders. It's designed to give life-learners, passionate about improving themselves and their organizations, opportunities for unbiased and unfiltered sharing, feedback, learning, problem-solving, benchmarking, and goal setting for exceptional results.The Makers™ started in Pittsburgh, PA in 2018 as a small group of local manufacturing Presidents/CEOs sharing best practices with peer perspectives. What are you paying for electricity? What's in your union agreements? How are you training the next generation of leaders? They devised a regular forum to compare notes and vet ideas and issues in a confidential and safe environment. They also devised a format with "topics of the day" discussions and had no interest in pre-packaged formats mandated by local chapters of global CEO Peer Groups, government or quasi-government groups, university-sponsored groups, or trade associations. In other words, The Makers™ was theirs and they were determined to rule their own destiny.
