The Manx Rainbow Association started as idea back in 2010, this idea grew into the IoMLGBT group which made solid connections and created the foundation on which The MRA is built today. In late 2011 the IoMLGBT group was wound up due to diminishing support and unforeseen circumstances. Whilst this was unfortunate Lee Clarke-Vorster & Nathan Rogers remained passionate about giving the LGBT community and voice. So a year went by where existing relationships were firmed up and new relationships forged, in late 2012 The Manx Rainbow Association came to fruition, although at this point it could have gone by many names and until late 2013 it did, this is when the company registration documents were filed for The Manx Rainbow Association. On the 5th March 2014 we were granted incorporation as a Limited Company by guarantee, however, we were given permission to drop the "Limited". Once the incorporation certificate was filed we proceeded to submit the necessary paperwork to become a registered charity in the Isle of Man. On the <> 2014 we were granted licence to hold ourselves as a Charitable entity. None of this would have been possible if not for the Support both Lee and Nathan received from those who shared in their passion and dedication over the past years and Lee & Nathan cannot thank them enough. At our first AGM on the 23rd March 2014, we implemented a membership and installed a management committee to oversee future events, plans and policies.
