The Middle School Attached to Northwestern Polytechnical University or NPUHigh (Chinese: 西北工业大学附属中学), was founded in 1971 as a place for humane but rigorous education within a setting of great natural beauty. Located in southern Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China, NPUHigh is home to more than 4,000 students and 235 faculty members, all of whom live on the grounds. With its motto "Ethic, Erudition, Simplicity and Innovation (重德 博学 崇实 创新)", and affiliation with the Northwestern Polytechnical University, NPUHigh provides students with a collaborative environment promoting friendship, understanding, trust, and respect for those of all faiths and beliefs among its students from provinces across the nation.
