The Mississippi Girlchoir is Mississippi's premier choral organization for girls in grades 3-12. The MGC mission is to foster a dedicated community of vocal excellence through music education, vocal training, and commitment to artistry in music. The Mississippi Girlchoir provides an enriching music environment for girls to learn teamwork, confidence, and vocal excellence and provides superior choral experiences for communities locally, nationally, and internationally.Founded in 1995, the Mississippi Girlchoir has over 100 members in four distinct choirs based on age and skill level. The choir has performed worldwide in many renown concert halls including the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.The Mississippi Girlchoir is a member-supported, tax-exempt 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported in part by the Mississippi Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
