The MNGR is a music-focused multimedia and events platform delivering Music, News, Gigs, and Reviews ranging from your favourite charting stars, emerging UK acts, to local University of West London (UWL) talent. The MNGR is a music networking hub where creatives, industry minds, and enthusiasts can work together.Created in 2015, it began as an online music magazine/blog for UWL artists and bands to showcase their music and grow their fan base. Over the years, it has evolved into distributing print and digital issues of the magazine alongside the online blog. The MNGR now aims to support not only UWL talent, but also UK's up and coming acts. We are host to many in-house and external events that have seen the likes of UWL's Ishy Dee, Bedroom/Boredom, Revolvers, Nadia Sheikh as well as external bands Denio, The Dabhands, and Best of Enemies. In 2019, we started Grey Area which is an acoustic lounge session and Believe the Hype podcast.Our services include writing articles and reviews for artists, putting on events for the enjoyment of our readers and audience, and aiding in the exposure of artists through promotional means.The MNGR is managed by students in UWL's London College of Music and London School of Film and Media Design. Though the platform and the team began because of Music Management students, the team is steadily expanding into more courses such as Music Technology, Music Performance, Journalism, Photography, Graphic Design, and more.The MNGR won the UWL SU 2018 'Best Single Achievement' award, from the nationally voted Best SU of England.
