The National Council on Women's Health is a working partnership of health care professionals and consumers whose mission is to educate the public and policy-makers on women's health and empower women to make informed health choices. The mission of the National Council on Women's Health is to empower women to make informed health choices by increasing access to health resources in the form of classes, seminars and mentoring. We bring much-needed health resources to underserved populations of girls in New York City's lower-income neighborhoods. Our staff serves a dual purpose as both instructors and mentors to the girls as they come to be a consistent presence and influence through weekly classes. We strive to arm girls with knowledge early on, preparing them to make informed and healthy lifestyle choices for a sustainable way of life.
