The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies is a network of Government approved low carbon and renewables training, delivered by 23 lead training organisations supported by over 100 other providers located nationwide.The Academy has been set up to standardise training in this area, ensuring employers and their staff have access to course which meet industry-recognised competence levels. With the network structure of the Academy, employers can now be confident that they can gain accredited renewables skills in a location closer to their business. The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies also provides a coherent approach to how training provision is developed, promoted and delivered. It transforms the current training system into one which is demand-driven, quality-focused, accessible, progressive and recognised.The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies is working closely with SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for building services engineering (BSE), to develop an accredited environmental technologies training network that will meet the needs of employers in the BSE sector.
