Media Production - London, England, United Kingdom
An international combination medical-science and social-justice film made by, and made about, adults with Spastic (muscle-tightness) Cerebral Palsy. The Nerves Of Us allows this age group, sidelined for hundreds of years compared to their baby and child counterparts, to have a collective voice in their own medical and social destinies for the first time in history. The film uses Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) as its main vehicle to highlight the almost total lack of care for CP adults and what can be done by the medical communities and society at large to correct that imbalance.
